Three Bible Truths
1
All people are sinners.
The Bible teaches, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Every person is naturally a sinner and falls far short of God’s perfection.
2
God must punish our sin.
The Bible teaches, “For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23a). Our sin has separated us from God. If we die in this condition, we will certainly experience the eternal judgment of God in Hell and the Lake of Fire.
3
Christ died FOR OUR SINS.
The Bible teaches, “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). Jesus Christ, God’s Son, came to earth and voluntarily died for us, taking the penalty of our sins. Jesus died, shedding His blood to cleanse us from our sins. He was buried but arose from the dead after three days and nights, proving He is God. He conquered death so we would never have to experience eternal death.
Will you accept what Jesus Christ did for you?
Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner deserving eternal separation from you in Hell. But I also believe that you died in my place for my sins. Right now, I am making a decision to trust you to save me from my sins and give me eternal life. Thank you for saving me.
Notice again that the Bible teaches, “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life” (John 3:36a). If you have just trusted Jesus Christ as your Savior, you now have this everlasting life.
You have a new eternal relationship with God as a part of God’s family. This relationship can never be broken. When you as a child of God now sin, you ought to admit your sin to your heavenly Father in order to maintain the joy that your friendship with Him brings.
