International Crusade:
God blessed our international evangelistic crusade with many saved! My son, Jonathan, was able to join me because of the generous giving of God’s people. I want to give a special thanks to Ken Fielder with Worldview Ministries, as well as our home church for their special gifts to make the trip possible. Because of persecution we are not going to say specifically where we went.
The crusade, which started on a Wednesday and went through Sunday, had 950 attend the first night. The attendance grew throughout the week with the last night having over 1,800! Area churches brought their members, as well as, unsaved people they had been working on throughout the year. I prayed that the first night we would see at least 20 people saved. The Lord blessed with so much more. That first night we had 70 respond in the invitation to talk with counselors to be saved!
Pastor Mark Falls from Newark, OH was also a part of the trip. We both preached each night. I am thankful for his sound Bible preaching and his friendship. God used him in a great way.
After the invitation one night I asked a man who was just saved, “Where will you go now when you die?” The counselor interpreted what I said. As I waited for his response, he talked quite a while with the counselor, which made me question his understanding. The counselor finally interpreted what he said, “Before tonight, I did not even know there was a place called Heaven, but now I KNOW I am going there!”
When one lady responded in the invitation she began acting weirdly and rolling on the ground. Her eyes looked strange and it was obvious that she was troubled. She returned the last two nights. She told has that she slept through the night for the first time in weeks. She was calm, peaceful and her eyes looked hopeful. She could not speak English. She simply pointed to her heart and then pointed up to Heaven.
On the last and largest night the Hindu temples were blaring their music. The voice of the priest could easily be heard when we would take a pause in the preaching. I had a difficult time preaching and the crowd was restless until about half way through when I began to preach on Hell. At that point, everyone was quiet and the Spirit gave liberty. As I gave the invitation 63 people responded to meet counselors to be saved! Yet, once again there was a hindrance in the invitation. I asked those who remained, “How many who are still seated have already trusted Christ alone and know that you are going to Heaven when you die?” There was a huge number that did NOT raise their hand. We continued the invitation and the evangelist who was interpreting asked those who were seated to trust Christ as Savior right then. There were so many that I could hear them praying out loud. Their were over one hundred more that raised their hand indicating they were trusting Christ!
Future Crusades
The need is great for more evangelistic crusades overseas and right here in America. We have an areawide crusade scheduled for Altoona, PA in September. We will tell you more about our Areawide Crusades in future updates. Please pray that God will continue to use us in this way.
Cancellations
Many have asked us how the Covid-19 coronavirus is affecting our ministry. God has been so good to us during this time but we have certainly been affected. We have had many cancellations as pastors are trying to deal with this challenging situation. Please pray for these churches and pray that God will continue to provide for us through this challenge. You can see our adapted itinerary here.
Most importantly, let us pray for revival among Christians and an awakening among the lost. Our country desperately needs us praying for God to work spiritually.
