It is not always easy to see which way we should go in life, but isn’t it wonderful when you have light to clearly see which way you should go? Psalms 48:14 says, “For this God is our God for ever and ever: He will be our guide even unto death.” Guidance is from God. I am excited to share with you how God has been guiding in our ministry recently.
We had the privilege to return to Victory Bible Baptist Church in Irmo, SC which is pastored by my good friend John Seydlitz. It was obvious that the Lord revived many hearts that week.
We left early in the morning from there to head to Iglesias Bautista La Fe in east TN. I preached at a youth rally and Sunday services which resulted in 7 young people trusting Christ as Savior! On Sunday, I preached through an interpreter and God really worked especially in the evening message on the family.
It had been about 11 years since we were with Pastor Matthew Barber and Woodridge Baptist Church. I believe God refreshed this church through the encouraging attendance, exciting kid’s club, and salvation of two people. One man came forward on Sunday morning but told the pastor that he was going to heaven because he was a good man. He left unsaved but returned Sunday evening and responded again, this time, trusting in Jesus Christ alone to save him. He said, “I had not heard it put that way before.” I found out that he is from Cameroon, Africa, which is where my son Jonathan is burdened to go. Jonathan is currently raising support for a missions trip to Cameroon by roasting coffee which he calls Coffee for Cameroon.
The second person who trusted Christ was a family member of a church member who watched the service from a different state. Praise the Lord for these salvation decisions!
We had the privilege to be at StoneRidge Baptist Church in Bloomington, Indiana for the first time. This is 10 year old church plant was started by Pastor Andy Gaschke who is a careful and gentle shepherd to this growing flock.
StoneRidge Baptist Church is also the home church of Evangelist Mark Visser who has joined our ministry after our first Hope for America Crusade in PA. Evangelist Visser serves as our crusade coordinator but also helps in the advance work with our local church revival meetings.
Brother Visser and I had the privilege of holding two Pastors’ Introductory Meetings to seek God’s direction for future crusades. The first meeting was held at Martinsville Baptist Tabernacle in Indiana. Dr. David Zempel and I preached and shared how God has been guiding us to have a crusade in the Martinsville area. The second meeting was held at North Love Baptist Church in Rockford, IL with several area pastors. Dr. Rick Flanders joined us via zoom and preached on areawide evangelistic crusades from the book of Acts. God certainly met with us in our time of prayer as we asked for His guidance.
God has given clear guidance to go forward with crusades in both the Martinsville and Rockford areas. Would you please pray that God will help with these future evangelistic outreaches?
Proverbs 3:5, 6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways, acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”
May God guide you and bless you as you trust in Him!
